Day 1  :  Rongai Gate 1950m to Simba Camp 2600m.


After a restful night at your hotel, you will be picked up from Moshi at 8:00 am and driven to the Rongai Gate, located at 1980 meters above sea level. As you arrive, you will be greeted by your guides and porters who will be eager to start the adventure. The journey begins with a 2.5-hour drive to the Rongai trailhead, which is located at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. The drive takes you through lush farmlands and offers a glimpse into the daily lives of the local people. Upon arrival at the Rongai trailhead, you will begin your ascent into the forest. The trail starts off with a gradual incline through the tall grasses and dense vegetation. As you climb, you will be surrounded by the sounds of the forest and the chatter of the birds. The first stop of the day is the Simba Camp, located at an altitude of 2600 meters. This camp is situated in a beautiful location.

    On the second day of your climb, you will wake up to the sound of the birds singing and the sun shining through the trees. After a hearty breakfast, you will set off on the trail, passing through Second Cave at an altitude of 3450 meters. This is a good spot to take a break and admire the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. As you continue your ascent, you will reach the Kikelewa Cave at an altitude of 3600 meters. This camp is situated in a rocky and barren landscape, but the views from the cave are truly breathtaking. The porters will set up camp for you, and you can enjoy a hot meal prepared by your guides. Take some time to rest and relax, as the high altitude can make it difficult to sleep.

    Day 3  :  Kikelewa Cave 3600m to Mawenzi Turn Camp 4330m.


    On the third day of your climb, you will wake up to the sound of the wind howling through the rocks. After a hearty breakfast, you will set off on the trail, passing through the moorland terrain. This is a challenging section of the climb, but the views are truly spectacular. As you ascend, you will reach the Mawenzi Turn Camp at an altitude of 4330 meters. This camp is situated in a stunning location, with the tarn providing a beautiful reflection of the surrounding landscape. The porters will set up camp for you, and you can relax and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. At the camp, you will find a warm meal prepared by your cooks, and you can sit around the campfire and share stories with your fellow climbers.     Day 4  :  Mawenzi Turn Camp 4330m to Kibo Hut 4700m.


    After breakfast, climbers will continue ascending east for a half-day climb to Kibo Hut. Kibo is located in the “Saddle,” which refers to the area located between the peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo in an alpine desert. The climb will take approximately 4-5 hours. At Kibo Hut, climbers will rest and enjoy a hot lunch in the sun. After eating, they will continue descending down to Horombo Hut 3720 m. This descent will take approximately 3-4 hours.

    Day 5  :  Summit Attempt.


    On day five, climbers will wake up early in the morning for tea and biscuits before beginning their summit attempt. The ascent to Uhuru Peak is a challenging 6–7-hour climb, with the first few hours being the steepest. The trail is rocky and the air is thin, so climbers must be well-prepared and take frequent breaks. After reaching the summit, climbers will have the opportunity to spend a short time taking photographs and drinking tea before beginning the descent to Horombo Hut. The climb down to Horombo Hut will take approximately 3-4 hours.
